The Board of Education approved the Design Development Package submitted by BHDP Architecture at their meeting on December 6, 2004. Included in this package: Elevations of each building; floor plans of each building: MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) specifics; interior finishes (colors, etc) and the budget for each project.
The project is on schedule and on budget.
The Board of Education accepted bids on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 for early site work at both the elementary and middle school sites. The apparent low bidder for this work is Westside Paving and Excavating. Turner Construction has recommended that the Board of Education award the contract for early site work to Westside Paving and Excavating. The Board will act on this recommendation at a special Board Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, December 14th at 7:15 AM at the Board Office.
Site work is set to begin at Madeira Elementary School on or about January 3rd. Site work will begin at Madeira Middle School as soon the demolition work is complete. Demolition work is scheduled for completion in mid-January.
