In addition to the Madeira Middle School 'Topping Out' ceremony being held Thursday, November 3, the Madeira Elementary School 'Topping Out' ceremony will be this Friday morning, November 4. The beam will be set at approximately 9:30 am.
A “Topping Out” is when the uppermost steel beam is put into place, which means that the structure under construction has reached it’s highest point. The steel beam is decorated with an American flag and a small evergreen tree. The flag signifies patriotism and the evergreen represents life and growth of the building.
Thanks to everyone who came to sign the beam on Saturday, October 22. Your signatures will be on the beam for the lifetime of the school!!
Feel free to come watch the beam being raised!
